Well, here it goes! Last week was Series Drill,as most of you all already know. We came in 2nd place out of 6 platoons. 1st in our series. Someone pointed out to me, that sometimes I talk like everyone should know what I mean! Ok, our battalion has 4 companies. Our company has 6 platoons, they are broken down into groups of 3. There is a lead side and a follow side. We are on lead, which is the front of the company. The series will start with an even number on bottom. So, when I say we are 1st on our side, we are first in our series. Throughout recruit training, there are several things that the guys will be graded on. Series drill is the first...again, we came in second! Then there is testing, which is when they are tested on their knowledge of The Marine Corp history...etc. First Aid, ....basically what they have been taught so far!
Well, guess what!!!! We came in 1st place overall for knowledge. Im so proud of them! They will be getting a call home! The next thing they are graded on is, the dreaded rifle range! Im sure they will all do fine. (As I keep my fingers crossed) After that, there will be , Company drill, and the Battalion Commanders Inspection. Then we are home free!!!!!
The time is flying by so fast! We are already starting week 6 !!! The half way point has arrived! The recruits will be moving all of there things to the rifle range this afternoon. A change of scenery will be nice for them, I bet:)
As you know, the recruits had popsycles this week. They looked like someone gave them a million dollars when they were given to them! My husband gets mad at me when I say his recruits look cute or adorable....but I must say, they were adorable!!!
Anyways, I just wanted to give you a lil look into what they are doing this week. I will add rifle range pictures this week. If I see them doing anything sooner, I'll let ya know:)
